So Mabon was excellent! I made it to the sweat lodge with plenty of time to spare. It was one of the best I've been to and my first evening lodge. I had such a great time in there and I have a new totem animal. It's the rhino. I'm going to be researching it as much as possible to find out as much as I can about it. I met new people and got to see my dearest friends. I actually got to camp this time too it's great. Well hot, but great! A good time was had by all. There was no ritual, but excellent drumming ( great job Elf, I'm sooo grateful you came! :) )and good lovings. Mead too!!! Moon and I finally got some quality time together and I am soo very grateful that we can share similar spiritual paths as well. I hope everyone had a most excellent Mabon. Love and light, rainbows and equality, hummus and taboulleh, lavendar and patchouli!

Blessed be,

Happy Mabon!

Today is Friday, September 22, 2006 and the color is White and there was a solar eclippse @ 8:07am EST.

Saturday the 23rd will be Mabon officially the color is blue and the sun enters Libra!

My date book presents a few paragraphs on Mabon by Ellen Dugan.

As the season of Autumn begins, we celebrate the second harvest festival and the Witch's Thanksgiving. The Autumn Equinox marks the time of equal day and night and the beginning of the fall. Meditate on bringing balance into your life this autumn. Get outside and rejoice in the changing leaves and the glorious colors, scents, and textures of the fall.

Traditional harvest themes work into your magical decorations beautifully. Try arranging apples or ornamental corn in a basket or group cute miniature pumpkins and gourds together on your shelf or mantle. Add some pretty pinecones and autumn leaves in their rich colors and dress things up a bit. Tie a rustling bundle of cornstalks to your front porch to celebrate the Earth's blessings at harvest-tide. Hang up a trio of ornamental corn on your front door. Bless it in the name of the Triple Goddess for protection and prosperity.

"Three ears of corn for the Maiden, Mother, and Crone,-
Protect well our house and bring prosperity home."

Many blessing to you all. I know we will truly enjoy ourselves as we celebrate this our Witchy poo Thankgiving. So pass the turkey, the taters, and the stuffing and let me fly my pentacle flag and my jolly roger in pride and praise. Love and light, rainbows and equality, hummus and taboulleh, lavendar and patchouli.

Blessed be,
Back to my Llewellyn's Witches Date book! Today is Thursday, September 21st, 2006 and the color is purple. There is a note that Apple, catnip, mallow, rose, tansy, valerian and willow are all feminine herbs. Tommorrow I will post the story of Mabon which is officially on Saturday. ButI will be camping, celebrating, and computerless during that timeframe. Merry meet and merry part and merry meet again. Love and light, rainbows and equality, hummus and taboulleh, lavendar and patchouli.

Blessed be,

Sooo ummm it's Tuesday!

Back to my date baook that I love and cherish!

The color is Black and it's a day for Harvesting! Over this past weekend there was a recipe I forgot to post called: Spicey Harvest Soup by K.D. Spitzer

2 tbs. butter
2 medium onions, sliced
2 medium carrots, shredded
1 stalk celery, thinly sliced
1 tbs. snipped fresh Italian parsley
2 tsp. freshly grated ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp ground allspice
4 bullion cubes
1 cup milk
1 (15 oz.) can pumpkin
8 oz. peeled and deveined
cooked shrimp

In a covered saucepan, saute' in butter until limp: oniions, carrots, celery, parsley, ginger, garlic and allspice. Stir once or twice. Put mixture in a blender or food processor, add 1/2 cup of water and puree. Return to sauce pan and add the bullion cubes, 2 cups of water, milk, and pumpkin. Stir well. When hot, add the shrimp. Serve with a spoon full of sour cream or plain yogurt and some snipped chives. Makes 3 heart portions.

Sounds interesting to say the least.

btw any ideas on how to send out positive loving energies in as many directions as possible and still have reserves for oneself? I've currently got a lot of friends that need my help as far as energies and spell work goes.

Love and light, rainbows and equality, hummus and tabbouleh, lavendar and patchouli!

Blessed be,

Just another manic monday!

Looking in my trusty Llwellyns Wictes Date book.

Yesterday, Sunday the 17th the color was Gold, it was a harvesting day, and Bewitched debuts on ABC-TV, 1964.
Today, Monday the 18th the color is Silver, it's a Harvesting day, and Abalone shell conveys healing and serenity.

I think it's interesting that yesterday is the color of the God and today the Goddess..Yah for balance in all things. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Love and light, rainbows and equality, hummus and tabboulleh, lavendar and patchouli!

Blessed be,

Celebrate good times, come on!

Today in my Llewellyn's Witches date book, Friday the 15th the color is purple and it's a planting day. There is talk of onyx and its ability to increase strength, stability, and stamina and it's being perfect as a gift for athletes.

Thursday the 14th had the color crimson, Phillip IV of France drew up the orders for the arrest of the French Templars, 1306 and the birthday of Henry Cornelius Agrippa, scholar and musician, 1486. Also it was a Harvesting day.

I've been workingo n embracing my inner goddess! Hooray for Women's Mysteries!

Love and light, rainbows and equality, Hummus and tabouleh, lavendar and patchouli!

Blessed be,

From my friend Bella

This is a wonderful heart warming blessing that I found on my friend Bella's livejournal. It's really nice. I hope you all enjoy it. Any other blessings ya'll can think of to add?

Hold on to what is good
even if it is a handful of earth;
Hold on to what you believe
even if it is a tree which stands by itself;
Hold on to what you must do
even if it is a long way from here;
Hold on to life
even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand
even when I have gone away from you.

- a Pueblo Blessing

Blessed be,

Wonderfly Wacky Wednesday the 13th

Greetings and salutations friends!
According to my Llewellyn's Witches date book; the color for today is yellow. The three foundations of wisdom are; discretion in learning, memory in retaining, and eloquence in telling. Yesterday was a day for planting and today is for harvesting.

I've been trying to refocus and rebalance and reenergize, any ideas? I'm thinking it's probably not a good idea to perform any ritual or rites until I do this. I'm going to try to catch up on sleep and than I plan to get myslef back on a schedule and herbal regiment, possibly a meditiation time as well just to regain focus whether before or after studying or doing a ritual or even to prepare myself for mundania or post worktime etc. Does anyone else have any insights, proposals, ideas, or going through anything similar to plan about? Feedback please! Love and light, rainbows and equality, hummus and tabouleh, lavendar and patchouli!

Blessed be,
Hannah ;)

on this day

This date is the anniversary of a US tradgedy. I send out love and light to each and every person the 9-11 attacks affected. I know they are numerous and still continue to affect people's lives eveyday in some way. I will be lighting a candle of healing and peace tonight as I send love thorughout the world. Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with me! On a lighter note Sunday the 10th was the birthday of Carl Llewellyn Weschcke, owner and president of Llewellyn Worldwide and today the 11th is the birthday of Silver RavenWolf, Wiccan author. Love and light, rainbows and equality.

Blessed be,

*looks around* Yesh! No ones here! I can break stuff!
